The muscles related to the spine

Since there are many bones in the back, many muscles are attached to each.
Here, the muscles related a spine are mainly shown.
First, the main ligaments which keep the bone and bone around a neck together are shown.
There are ligaments also in the bone of a breast and the waist like a neck.

There is the thing similar to a cushion between a bone and a bone.

It is called an intervertebral disc.

We stand and live on two legs against the gravity of the earth.
The power applied on the bone of the backbone is considerable. There is a cushion between bones not to be yield to this gravity.

Moreover, the backbone is supported by the power of the surrounding muscles of the backbone, or the muscles of the belly.
